There has not been any word on PC file size, but the required specs include a need for at least 60 GB of open storage space, though the actual install size is likely to be closer to Xbox and PlayStation. The Twitter account PlayStation Game Size alleges that the PS4 and PS5 will have a 44.928 GB file size. The PlayStation game file is expected to be slightly smaller, though this remains unconfirmed officially.
There is likely to be a day one patch, however, which may increase the file size slightly. Elden Ring will take up 49.04 GB of storage space on an Xbox One and Series X/S. Xbox consoles currently have the only official game file size information. Physical copies will be available at individual retailers' discretion. This all fails to take into account those who preordered a physical copy of the game or one of Elden Ring's special editions with bonus content. Unfortunately, release times for PC are a mixed bag dependent on time zone. The only exception is North American timezones, which are all getting the game at midnight Eastern Time (11pm Central/10pm Mountain/9pm Pacific).
This means those who purchase Elden Ring on console in Japan and Australia, for instance, will be playing it before those in North America.
